I would like to send everyone my best wishes for the Christmas season and wish you a happy new year. I always appreciate all the support and help I receive from our community here in Denton and Reddish.
But clearly the last 12 months have been tough for many people in light of the ongoing cuts to services and economic downturn. My main focus will always be to protect our community here in Tameside and Stockport exposing the shortfalls of this Tory/ Lib Dem government. In my role as a Shadow Health Minister I will do all I can to fight for our NHS in 2013 and make sure our local health services are not unduly affected.
And you can be confident that as your MP I will always try my best for everyone who comes to me with an issue or concern. I have always tried my best and will continue to do so. It still remains a huge privilege and an honour for me to represent the communities of Audenshaw, Denton, Dukinfield, Reddish and the Heatons in Parliament.
As we look to the future I do hope that the economy will start to turn the corner to provide us all with better prospects.
I hope 2013 will bring happiness and prosperity to all of you and that we may all enjoy a Happy New Year!
