An estimated 8,000 people lined the streets of Haughton Green and Denton for the annual Denton Carnival last Sunday (8th September).

As well as the ever-popular Carnival Parade, there were stalls, rides and free family entertainment in Victoria Park and on the Civic Square. And the Carnival fun fair was located on Queen Street Car Park for the second year running.
Below is a slide show showing a selection of photographs taken from the day’s festivities. A big thank you to the Carnival Organisers – and particularly Margaret and Andy Williams at Thackeray’s Books – for all their hard work and dedication in making this such a special day for the town!
