STOCKPORT’S RINGWAY BREWERY heads to Westminster

IMG_9718[1]Andrew Gwynne MP joined Paul Alderson of Reddish’s Ringway Brewery this week to launch ‘Ringway Session’ as a guest ale in the Strangers’ Bar of the House of Commons.

The brewer headed down from Reddish to be presented with a certificate by Andrew Gwynne and to meet the barmen who will be pulling his beer.

The beer was nominated by Mr Gwynne as part of a scheme to supply beers from all over the country to the Strangers’ Bar, to demonstrate brewing talent from all corners of Britain.

“It was an absolute pleasure to launch ‘Ringway Session’ with Paul this evening. I first thought of bringing it down to London when I met Paul at Ringway Brewery, and it is absolutely essential that MPs support local businesses.

“I know the MPs down here enjoy drinking our locally-brewed Stockport beer, and I will be backing Ringway all the way.”

Paul Alderson of Ringway Brewery said:

“After meeting our local MP, Andrew Gwynne, at our brewery to discuss the impact of the beer duty escalator policy on small brewers such as ourselves, it was a great boost for us to receive Andrew’s recommendation for Ringway Brewery to supply Strangers’ Bar.

“We are extremely proud to be supplying our cask ales to our elected members, staff and guests, and we hope they enjoy drinking them as much as our North West customers do!”
