At the event, a Pride of Tameside award was given to the Tameside LGBT Youth Group, pictured right.
The college was just one of the local organisations taking part. The fun day was also held in the name of social inclusion to build strong relationships between residents and the service providers that they use.
Andrew Gwynne MP said:
“Ever since the college opened in 2010, the staff and students have put the community at the very top of their priorities.
“They work extremely hard to develop a great working relationship with local residents, and they add so much to Denton. We are very lucky to have them.”
