An estimated 12,000 people lined the streets of Haughton Green and Denton for the annual Denton Carnival on Sunday 14th September, in what has been billed as the town’s largest-ever free event.
As well as the ever-popular Carnival Parade, there were stalls, rides and free family entertainment in Victoria Park and on the Civic Square. The Carnival fun fair was also located on Queen Street Car Park.
Here are a selection of photographs taken from the day’s festivities. A big thank you to the Carnival Organisers – and particularly Margaret and Andy Williams at Thackeray’s Books, and the other volunteers for all their hard work and dedication over the year!
