STEP OUT FOR STROKE: Gwynne joins Stockport Stroke Association Day

strokeAndrew Gwynne MP joined members of Stockport Stroke Association to ‘Step out for Stroke’ in Reddish Vale Country Park.

The group assembled to raise awareness of stroke and the benefit of exercise. The event was organised by Paul Edgerton and the organisation’s volunteers.

Step out for Stroke is a national series of fun sponsored walks for the whole family, with the additional aim of raising more than £250,000 a year.

The walk ended at the Stockport Stroke Garden for a BBQ.

“More than a million people across the country have suffered a stroke, so I am pleased that these events are such a success year after year. Step out for Stroke is for everyone – stroke survivors, their families, friends and supporters.

“I want to thank Cllr Walter Brett for joining us, and Paul Edgerton for organising it.”
