The group assembled to raise awareness of stroke and the benefit of exercise. The event was organised by Paul Edgerton and the organisation’s volunteers.
Step out for Stroke is a national series of fun sponsored walks for the whole family, with the additional aim of raising more than £250,000 a year.
The walk ended at the Stockport Stroke Garden for a BBQ.
“More than a million people across the country have suffered a stroke, so I am pleased that these events are such a success year after year. Step out for Stroke is for everyone – stroke survivors, their families, friends and supporters.
“I want to thank Cllr Walter Brett for joining us, and Paul Edgerton for organising it.”
