In response to events in Brussels, Andrew Gwynne MP said:
“These atrocities have shaken the continent of Europe. They were a further attack on the democratic, open values on which our societies are based.
“We must redouble our resolve to tackle the scourge of terror, and we must condemn these attacks and the evil edifice of violence in whose name they were carried out.
“I offer my deepest condolences to those affected by these attacks. The people of Tameside and Stockport stand in solidarity with the people of Belgium.”
