Andrew Gwynne MP this week announced Local Business Awards winners from across the constituency.

The award gave constituents the chance to nominate and celebrate their favourite local businesses ahead of Small Business Saturday on December 1st.

Over the two months the awards ran for, over 3,000 nominations were received, putting forward 194 independently ran businesses from across Denton & Reddish for contention in the award.

One winner from each ward was announced, with Tranquility Cosmetics being crowned overall winner.

Andrew Gwynne said:

“I would like to encourage everybody in Denton & Reddish to support their local businesses, not just on Small Business Saturday, but throughout the year.

“I felt it was incredibly important that we took some time to appreciate our area’s bustling economy. It’s vital that we remember we’re not just home to the national businesses we see on Crown Point North, but a our local economy is host to a wide array of local businesses delivering on the needs of communities across the constituency.

“I’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who has taken part. It’s all a bit of fun to help highlight just what great diverse small businesses we have across the Denton and Reddish constituency, and the reality is all 194 businesses receiving nominations are winners”
