The Denton & Reddish MP announced the award to celebrate the hard work that goes into communities across the constituency, encouraging all to nominate a hero who has dedicated time to volunteering or for work they’ve done within the local community.

Nominations are open now, with the shortlist being released in early September. For more information and to nominate your community hero, please visit:

Andrew Gwynne said:

“I’m calling for anybody who knows a community hero to put them forward for this award. People from across the constituency put in an incredible amount of work to make Denton & Reddish such a vibrant and welcoming area, but too often their work goes unrewarded, so I’m calling for us all to celebrate what makes Denton & Reddish great.

“I think it’s vital that we support and celebrate our communities. Over the last few months, we’ve been through tough times. Throughout, it was inspirational to see how our community pulled together in the face of those who oppose it, and marched on with resilience and pride

“No positive community action is too big or too small, so please put your community hero forward for nomination”
