Andrew Gwynne, MP for Denton and Reddish, has presented a Citizen’s Award to Nadia Ali for her work supporting the community in Heaton Norris during the Coronavirus outbreak.

Nadia rallied to ensure that all local children received activity packs and that all families receive free bread and copies of local newspaper, the Heatons Post.

Gwynne has launched the Citizen’s Awards to recognise people in the Denton and Reddish constituency who have gone above and beyond for others in their community. You can nominate your own community heroes on Gwynne’s website.

Gwynne presented the award to Nadia at Heaton Norris Community Centre on Monday 20 July.

Andrew Gwynne said:

“I was delighted to present a Citizen’s Award to Nadia Ali, who is a tireless champion for the community in Heaton Norris.

“The Coronavirus crisis and the lockdown have been a really difficult time for so many people, so it’s fantastic that Nadia has gone above and beyond to make things a little easier for people in Heaton Norris.”
