Andrew Gwynne, MP for Denton and Reddish, is marking National Epilepsy Week with Young Epilepsy by offering his support to their ‘More Than Seizures’ campaign.

This National Epilepsy Week, Young Epilepsy are raising awareness of the fact that epilepsy causes so much more than just seizures. The lives of young people with epilepsy are affected in so many other ways.

Young people with epilepsy experience difficulties with their education, families and wellbeing, growing up, and socialising. Many are supported by epilepsy nurses.

Every day this week, Young Epilepsy are going to be focusing upon a different area of young people’s lives and how they are affected by epilepsy on their social media accounts.

Andrew Gwynne MP said:

“This National Epilepsy Week, we need to remember than epilepsy is so much ‘More Than Seizures’.

“Young people with epilepsy are affected in so many other ways – from how they receive their education to their family and social lives.

“This is why I am so proud to support the amazing work of Young Epilepsy in raising awareness of how epilepsy affects the lives of our young people.”
