Andrew Gwynne, MP for Denton and Reddish, has welcomed the launch of a new website to help NHS staff, health and social care workers and NHS volunteers (critical care workers) find free parking locations quickly and easily
The website, nhs-freeparking.co.uk, is a joint collaboration between the British Parking Association and its members Parkopedia, YourParkingSpace and JustPark and looks to support the Government’s Coronavirus free parking scheme for critical workers.
All council car parks, some commercial car parks and even some private driveways are providing free parking to critical workers at this time.
Andrew Gwynne said:
“Our critical workers – including those in the NHS and the care sector – are putting themselves in harm’s way to keep us safe and fight the virus.
“At such a busy time, being able to easily find where they can park for free is one less thing to worry about.
“I would encourage all constituents working in health and social care to check out this website and thank the British Parking Association for creating such a useful tool.”
